I'm calling it right now......McCain is going to pretend that the reason he did so badly tonight was because he didn't have time to prepare because he was so "busy" trying to save the country from the position we're in. Not in those exact words but pretty much the same thing.

As for the realtime blog thing, I may contribute and I may not. I'd really like to pay close attention to everything from what they say to their mannerisms so I may not want to read or write anything during the event. Not that I'd ever vote for McCain. I'm just trying to talk myself out of some bad feelings on Obama. I don't want to be distracted so I'll probably just contribute later if that's cool with you King John. ;)

Obama needs to keep on message.... republicans got us in this mess!

The economy is the major discussion of this debate so far, and the choice is yours on who you think can help improve this country

Is McCain just talking just to talk ?

Why are we spending 10billion a month in Iraq when we are flat broke?

Snake Eyes said...

I think McCain is mad because Obama got him on that poinT. Now how would Palin respond, " I'll find out and get back to you on that, Katie!?!?"

Why is Obama letting McCain look like he actually knows what he's talking about. Where in the hell is the knock out punch?

Derdie B said...

I can't believe I'm saying this but except for the one moment when McCain lost his cool about Kissinger he is actually doing a good job.

Why does obama keep saying that John McCain is absolutely right. Why isn't he talking about any support for israel?

Elkin said...

ok are we watching 2 diff debates i think that Obama is doing a much better job!

Jmill ... that's a great question. He mentioned that McCain is right 5 times and said that they agree on certain issues twice. McCain has constantly said that Obama is wrong. This is very scary. I'm not that impress with Obama tonight and there he goes again saying I agree with McCain .........

jmill said...

Obama is almost looking for approval from McCain. I think obama is right on the issues that matter. He just needs to look like he's the president and McCain is not. I agree with Greg. I'm waiting for the knock out punch!

Elkin said...

That would be my only concern.. i agree with that point he is agreeing with him to much

jmill said...

Here it comes....I feel it....

jmill said...

In the end I think obama did a great job!

dammit ... i can't believe they allowed McCain to end with the whole when I came back from war as a prisoner. I need some feed back. What did you guys think was the high points and low points of this debate?

jmill said...

I thougt the best part for obama was when he wa talking about the fact that they focus on Iraq to the detriment of national security problems with other nations including north Korea and Iran as well as domestic problems at home. Failing to help veterans middle clas etc. I think obama was on the defensive too much though. But I am proud of him.

Economy- Obama
Foreign Policy-tie

I would say tonight, it would be a tie. Obama stood his ground, but should not have said " McCain was right". The only Thing I found wrong. Obama was superior on all the issuEs. McCain did get stronger ( foreign policy is hi strength). We all should know Palin is gonna get it.

Cmon. We need to think about the future. Do you trust the man with 13 houses and 13 cars or the man with 1 house and 2 cars. What's closer to to your life. it's your choice On Nov 4th. Or early vote!

I think Obama did a great job when he turned to Mccain said that you were wrong about being liberators in iraq you were wrong about the fight in iraq..etc

Well said John and elkin.

If this was a 12 round fight, I thing it was a draw. Out of 8 topics Obama said I agree with McCain 5 times and McCain is right twice (that's not good, in my opinion). Overall, I think there is room for improvement. Tonight is just a reminder that we need to go out and canvass in our neighborhoods and do the phone banks. We need to get those people who are undecided to see that Obama is the right man for President. John thanks for setting up the blog for us to chat.
